While we are against willy-nilly, product placement and brand advertisement we would like to give a big thank-you to the people at Duesenberg Guitars in Germany. Firstly, for making such great sounding, cool and individualistic instruments and secondly for featuring us on their artist’s section and video page. “One of the first albums I ever listened to was a cassette copy of London Calling by The Clash, given to me for Christmas by my uncle as a kid (along with a copy of Hindsight by The Church).
Last week I had the pleasure of meeting Mick Jones – one of my childhood heroes, alongside Joe Strummer and the rest of the gang – after his show playing guitar for Gorillaz. People say you should never meet your idols, but it was a pleasure to get to hang out and chat with him, and he seems to be having every bit as much fun and mischief on stage as ever.”
